Dr. Volodymyr Moiseyenko from the National Science Centre of the Ukraine - Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology - Institute of Plasma Physics will give a seminar entitled 'RF plasma production and heating and wall conditioning discharges in Uragan-2M torsatron'. Abstract:
The experimental results for plasma production in Uragan-2M torsatron are presented. The stationary discharges for wall conditioning at low magnetic field are studied and discussed. The self-consistent model for radio-frequency plasma production and wall conditioning discharge sustain is presented. It solves the equations for particle and energy transport and wave equations simultaneously. First results of this model show the sensitivity of the discharge evolution for the model for antenna electric matching. The Alfven resonance heating of plasma in Uragan-2M is planned with a four-strap antenna. The antenna design and the results of RF calculations for this antenna are presented.
